Determined to rescue his son from living with an abusive stepfather, Kris, battling a dodgy knee and relying on self-medication with cannabis, attempts to alert security about a hijacking in progress on the 72nd floor. His elevator phobia adds urgency as he rushes down the flights to protect his waiting son from the danger above. However, Kris is abducted, leaving his son alone in the lobby. Kris negotiates with the hijackers for his life, while his son, realizing the peril, attempts a daring rescue, only to become a hostage himself. As father and son grapple with their differences, they must find a way out of the building, navigating a perilous situation that may be made easier if they can agree to cooperate with the hostage takers.
